"Depressive emotions" or "Depression"

Do many of you, like me, experience insomnia?
Do you feel more energetic when night falls?
And the later you sleep, the more you become unconsciously emo?

Stage 1: The Doubt Stage
I always doubt if I have depression. For example, there was a period when I liked sad songs, enjoyed TV show endings that weren't happy, and always liked to read melancholic articles. This manifests as being overly sensitive, avoiding contact with others, lacking confidence, and having no interest in anything. I've considered seeing a psychologist, but I haven't had the courage to do so, perhaps because I'm afraid of knowing the result. ⚡️
Stage 2: The Reconciliation Stage
Actually, it's not depression, just depressive emotions, like many others who can't accept the emotional gap between success and failure; the feeling of frustration when faced with problems that can't be solved, helplessness, and sadness; the loneliness of being isolated and helpless. Actually, these emotions only manifest when problems arise and won't persist. Perhaps finding methods to relieve stress suitable for oneself will make depressive emotions disappear. Although we can never stop the occurrence of depressive emotions, we still need to reconcile and let go.
My Solution: Moderating expectations appropriately, boosting self-confidence, doing more things I enjoy, seemingly time-killing activities sometimes can distract our attention, reducing the time we spend being emotional.
Friendly Reminder: The Difference Between Depressive Emotions and Depression
The difference between depression and depressive emotions lies in the duration and self-regulation ability. Depressive emotions last for a short time and can be self-regulated. Depression, on the other hand, lasts for more than two weeks, cannot be self-regulated, causes suffering, and affects normal life and work. Depressed individuals may also experience lack of interest, reduced energy, fatigue, and physical discomfort.
